Tory Putnam Joins Trinity's Family & Court of Protection Teams

Trinity's members and staff warmly welcome Tory Putnam who joins Chambers' Family and Court of Protection teams from a leading Western Circuit Set.

Tory is a dual qualified Solicitor-Advocate and Barrister with extensive child protection experience working with Local Authorities, Parents (including through the Official Solicitor) and Guardians.

Regularly instructed in complex matters, Tory deals with multi day fact finds, non-accidental injury, sexual abuse, indecent images and rape. Tory is also instructed in cases involving international jurisdiction matters, Female Genital Mutilation, wardship applications before the High Court, contested interim and final care orders, as well as contested Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) applications.

Tory is also instructed in children related private law matters acting for a mix of privately paying and legally aided clients. She has significant experience in Child Arrangement Orders, including determination of contact and residence of children as well as fact finding hearings.

Having lived with her family in the Borders for a number of years, this very much a move ‘home’ for Tory having spent 10 years in London and the South Coast.

Commenting on the move to Trinity Chambers, Tory said:

“I am very excited to be joining such a well-respected, leading set of Chambers and look forward to the challenges ahead.

“On a personal level, my family and I are very much enjoying all that Northumberland has to offer with the countryside and wonderful beaches".
