In 2018 Trinity was the fourth barristers chambers in the UK to attain the Cyber Essentials Certificate of Assurance. Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed (National Cyber Security Centre), industry-supported scheme to help businesses protect themselves against common online threats, including cyber attacks.
Committed to the highest levels of cyber security in the face of ever evolving and more sophisticated cyber threats for the benefit of its members as well as its clients, Trinity has recently achieved the Cyber Essentials Certified Plus Accreditation, the highest level of certification offered under the Cyber Essentials Scheme.
To achieve Cyber Essentials Plus a qualified and licensed external assessor conducts a wide range of tests ensuring that the required technical controls are in place and functioning effectively across all business locations and devices. This rigorous and externally verified assessment process ensures that the best cyber defences are in place to protect the business from the increasing number of wide-ranging cyber security risks.
Commenting on achieving the leading industry standard, Chambers Director, Tim Harris said:
“Trinity Chambers barristers are instructed by clients from the UK and internationally and we currently operate from four separate locations in Newcastle, Leeds and Middlesbrough. With the recent increase in remote working practices, we take a robust approach to cyber security as a key part of our business planning. It is imperative that we protect our clients, partners, members and staff as much as possible from ever evolving and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.”
