Trinity Barrister, James Kemp, will be delivering a seminar to the region's members of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors on the evening of 6th December 2012 in Durham.
The session, aimed at surveyors who may be asked to give expert or witness evidence in relation to neighbour disputes, is entitled “Managing conflict over land, property and adjoining buildings”.
The event will explore the surveyors’ duties in terms of neighbour disputes over party walls, boundaries and rights of light. Experienced land law and civil litigation barrister James will review the relevant legislation, surveyor’s responsibilities in relation to proposed building projects and explore ways of minimising inconvenience to adjoining properties.
James is a member of Trinity Barristers Chambers’ Agricultural,Business, Chancery and Regulatory practice groups.
