On 8 June 2023, Trinity Professional Disciplinary and Misconduct barrister, Steven Reed was 1 of 5 speakers who presented at the Metropolitan Police Federation Performance and Conduct Seminar, hosted at the Law Society in London.
Steven delivered a talk on the expansion of the criminal offence of Misconduct in Public Office post the Couzens case.
The event was attended by members of the Metropolitan Police Federation and Solicitors from Reynolds Dawson, Hempsons, and Penningtons.
In addition, 64 members of the Police Federation from police forces across England and Wales attended the seminar virtually. Steven's presentation follows a series of talks he has delivered in recent months to Complaints and Performance Liaison Officers (CAPLO) from Police Federations across the Country.
Steven was a Police Superintendent before becoming a barrister. He regularly represents Police Officers and Police Authorities at Misconduct Hearings across England.
