Trinity barristers Nicola Shaw and Michelle Temple were speakers at a North East Resolution seminar held at the offices of Ward Hadaway sol on 10th October 2012. The event focused on unmarried family finance and attracted family solicitors from across the region.
The seminar topics included an analysis of Jones v Kernott, Constructive Trusts, common intention, detrimental reliance and quantification of interest as well as a detailed review of the subsequent relevant case law.
Nicola Shaw is a member of Trinity Chambers’ Family and Ancillary Relief practice group and deals with complex and high value matrimonial and ancillary relief disputes.
Michelle Temple deals with Trust matters and is a member of Trinity’s Business, Chancery, Court of Protection and Agricultural Law practice groups. Michelle is also a member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Nicola and Michelle both deal with Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA) matters and regularly speak on the topic. They also both sit as Deputy District Judges at various County Courts in the region including Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Morpeth and Darlington.
