Trinity's employment barristers are delighted to announce the launch of the group's "Breakfast Briefings", comprising of short employment law focused sessions delivered through the remainder of 2019 and into 2020.
The sessions will provide updates on recent case law and practical guidance on issues relevant to all those practising in employment law. In addition, the briefings will be a networking opportunity for those attending.
The first Briefing takes place on the morning of Thursday 24 October 2019, starting at 08:30 am and will be held at Trinity Chambers, The Custom House, Quayside, Newcastle NE1 3DE. The session is entitled "Learning from the Losers: some pitfalls revealed by recent employment cases" and will include a review of recent Employment case law where things went wrong, with tips to avoid similar traps or disasters.
The session will be delivered by Trinity's Michael Malone, one of the North East’s most well-known and respected Employment Judges. Before retiring, he chaired hearings at the Newcastle Employment Tribunal for 11 years. Michael was a member of the first group of twelve employment judges to be trained on judicial mediation. He then conducted dozens of judicial mediations in Newcastle. Applying his skills and experience across a wide range of commercial, contractual, employment and property disputes, Michael is a CEDR accredited Mediator.
In future Briefings, other members of Trinity's substantial employment team will share their industry insights. The team continue to be regularly recognised in the leading legal directories:
