Trinity Chambers’ members and staff are delighted to have been named Chambers of the Year at the Northern Law Awards 2026.
The awards ceremony took place at the Hilton Newcastle Tyne Bridge and brought together law firms, Chambers, in-house teams, legal professionals, academia and organisations from across the region’s thriving legal sector.
The Chambers of the Year category recognises excellence in the delivery of legal services, strong business performance, client service, strategic growth, culture, environmental, social and governance commitments, and regional impact. The judges were impressed by the scale of Trinity's ambition, the strength of the foundations it has built for continued growth, and its innovative structure and forward-thinking approach. The panel also recognised the strong identity and inclusive culture Trinity has created, alongside our clear commitment to supporting the next generation of talent and the wider business community across the North of England.
Trinity’s Award follows a significant year for Chambers, which has continued to grow across its Newcastle, Leeds and Middlesbrough bases while strengthening its profile across the North East, nationally and internationally. Chambers now has more than 100 barristers providing specialist advocacy and advisory services across a wide range of practice areas.
The Award also recognises Trinity’s continued investment in client service, governance, social value and the future of the Bar. In April 2025, Chambers incorporated as Trinity Chambers Services Limited, introducing a more formal corporate structure with an Executive Board, dedicated committees and office holders covering areas including wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion, ESG, pupillage, marketing and business development, compliance, staff support and junior members.
Trinity has also continued to support future legal talent through an extensive mini-pupillage programme, university moots, open evenings, careers fairs, mentoring schemes and access initiatives including the Pegasus Access and Support Scheme. Chambers also continues to support the Newcastle Chancery Bar Litigant in Person Support Scheme (“NCLIPS”) with members volunteering time to provide advice and advocacy to litigants in person who have cases in the District Judge Business and Property Applications List.

Chambers was also proud to sponsor the Pro Bono/Community Initiative Award at the Northern Law Awards, which was won by Helen Robinson from Teesside University and presented by Trinity’s Anu Kaura.
The Northern Law Awards showcase and celebrate the achievements of the region’s legal sector. The 2026 ceremony was hosted by Alfie Joey and organised by Echo Events & Association Management.
