Trinity Barristers Chambers is sponsoring Leeds Law School's final COVID -19 related "Law in Practice" webinar that takes place on line on the evening of Thursday 23 July 2020.

The free webinar will be delivered by Karl Turner MP, Shadow Minister for Legal Aid and is entitled "Legal Aid and COVID-19 – A Crisis Within A Crisis". The Shadow Minister will examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Legal Aid.

Mr Turner, who is a barrister and solicitor, was elected as the Member of Parliament for Kingston upon Hull East in 2010. He has held a number of frontbench roles for the opposition including Shadow Solicitor General and Shadow Attorney General, both for England and Wales. During his time as an MP he has been a supporter of both legal aid and the proper funding of the Crown Prosecution Service.

In addition to Trinity Chambers, the webinar is also supported by Leeds Law Society, The Yorkshire Union of Law Societies and Collaborative Professionals Network.

The webinar commences at 6pm, concluding at 7pm with an opportunity for questions (to be submitted in advance) afterwards.
