Trinity Chambers Welcomes Pupil Mairi Clancy

Trinity's Members and Staff warmly welcome Chambers' latest pupil, Mairi Clancy.

Before joining Chambers, Mairi had 5 years’ experience working as a paralegal dealing with child protection, private family and domestic abuse law. In that role, Mairi routinely represented clients before Magistrates, District and Circuit Judges in the Family Court. Her experience includes supporting counsel in a 2 week fact-finding hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice before Hayden J. She also assisted Junior and Senior counsel in a complex fatal non-accidental injury case involving multiple medical experts.

Mairi has developed a particular strength in working with vulnerable clients including domestic abuse survivors and those with learning difficulties and mental health issues. Through her previous role, Mairi has worked closely with professional clients involved in child protection proceedings, such as social workers, CAFCASS, court appointed experts and intermediaries.

Outside of work Mairi is a keen runner and has completed 6 marathons including New York and Boston.

Mairi starts her pupillage in Trinity's Family - Public Law & Children team under the supervision of Fiona Walker.
