Trinity Chambers Welcomes Three New Tenants

Trinity's members and staff warmly welcome three new tenants who join Chambers following the completion of their pupillages.

Chambers wish Thomas Langley, Sophie Johnstone and Thomas Bannister (pictured L-R) the best of luck as they commence the next stage of their career at the Bar.

Thomas Langley

Thomas is a member of Chambers’ Civil team, with a busy practice focused on Commercial, Business and Property litigation, Chancery, Housing and Insolvency work. In Employment, Thomas frequently appears in multi-day tribunal hearings for claimants and respondents nationwide across a variety of employment law issues. Thomas' Housing Law practice includes acting for local authorities in housing disrepair claims as well as for landlords and tenants in possession proceedings.

Sophie Johnstone

Sophie joins Chambers' Criminal, Regulatory and Licensing teams. Sophie has defended and prosecuted in a variety of matters in both the Crown and Magistrates Court, and has dealt with appellate work. Sophie is a CPS Grade 1 Prosecutor. She has been instructed to advise on judicial review and an appeal by way of case stated. Sophie has a growing regulatory practice, frequently appearing for local authorities. She is regularly instructed by Police forces and has also represented the Insolvency Service.

Thomas Bannister 

Before his career at the Bar, Thomas worked in the assurance industry, training with one of the ‘Big 4’ accounting firms and qualifying as an Accountant. Thomas is instructed in a broad range of family law matters including matrimonial finance and property, as well as public law and children cases. Given his dual qualified status, as both a barrister and Chartered Accountant, Thomas has a particular interest in all aspects of Financial Remedy and related Property proceedings, including Trusts of Land matters.
