Trinity criminal barrister, Robert Adams, has been appointed by The Queen to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, Chris Grayling MP.

Mr Adams has been assigned to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Durham Crown Court with effect from 20 January 2014 and will be known as His Honour Judge Adams. Former Head of Trinity Chamber's Criminal Practice Group, Mr Adams was called to the Bar in 1993 and was appointed Crown Court Recorder in 2008.
