Trinity Criminal and Regulatory barrister, Robert Spragg has been appointed as a Circuit Judge by HM The Queen on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed His Honour Judge Spragg to the North Eastern Circuit and he will be based at Sheffield Crown Court. The appointment takes effect from 22 February 2016.

His Honour Judge Spragg started his legal career in 1995 when he qualified as a solicitor, he was then called to the Bar in 2003 and was appointed a Crown Court Recorder in 2012. The members and staff at Trinity Chambers wish him the very best in his new career.
