Family barrister and Deputy District Judge, Brian Mather will join a panel discussion arranged by North East Resolution entitled "Dealing with Litigants in Person."
In addition to Brian Mather, the panel will include practising family solicitors, a mediator, a District Judge and a Tribunal Judge. The session has been arranged in response to the predicted surge in Litigants in Person dealing with their own cases and attending Court as a result of extensive cuts in Public Funding.
The session will explore the impact of dealing with Litigants in Person at Court, provide guidance in relation to McKenzie Friends, examine which Public Funding options still remain and generally be a platform to share experiences and tips from a practitioners perspective.
The event will be held at 5pm on Tuesday 30th April 2013 at the offices of Ward Hadaway on Newcastle's Quayside.
Brian Mather is a member of Trinity Chambers' Family and Mental Health/Court of Protection practice groups.
