On the advice of the Lord Chancellor and the Lord Chief Justice, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon, The Queen has appointed Trinity Family and Court of Protection barrister, Rachel Smith to be a Circuit Judge.
Eleanor Rachel Smith, will be known as Her Honour Judge Eleanor Smith and will sit on the North Eastern Circuit, based at Newcastle Upon Tyne Combined Court commencing on 22 January 2018.
HHJ Smith was called to the Bar in 1992 and appointed as a Recorder in 2016.
