On the evening of Thursday 7th July 2016, Trinity Chambers' Court of Protection team hosted the launch of the North East branch of the Court of Protection Practitioners Association (CoPPA NE).
Professionals including barristers, solicitors, clinicians and support agencies working in the areas of mental capacity, mental health, vulnerable adults and the Court of Protection were invited by CoPPA NE to the event held in Trinity's Quayside Chambers.
The event was an opportunity to explain the role of CoPPA, introduce the regional committee, invite new members to join and network.
Trinity Family and Court of Protection Silk, Nicholas Stonor Q.C. provided a practical update talk entitled: ‘Reforming the Court of Protection – What lies ahead.'
In addition, The President of the Family Division, Sir James Munby delivered a talk providing a general overview of the Court of Protection including recent developments concluding with an insightful Question and Answer session.
