Business and Property barrister, James McHugh will be a guest speaker at the next R3 North East Regional Meeting on the evening of Wednesday 12th September.
The meeting, commencing at 5pm and concluding at 6.30pm, will be held at the Newcastle offices of Deloitte, One Trinity Gardens, Broad Chare.
James will deliver a talk entitled 'Office Holders Investigations and Privilege'. The session will examine the recent cases of Avonwick Holdings Ltd v Shlosberg and Re Lemos, as well as the implications of the repeal of s.291(1) of the Insolvency Act 1986. Andrew Haslam, the North East R3 Chair will also be providing an R3 update. The meeting will conclude with an opportunity for questions followed by networking with a buffet and drinks.
