Trinity Criminal Silk, Caroline Goodwin Q.C. will address guests at the Newcastle Upon Tyne Law Society's 2019 Annual Law Dinner 2019.
The black tie Dinner will be held at the Grand Hotel Gosforth Park, Newcastle upon Tyne on the evening of 7th November 2019.
In addition to Caroline speaking, the current President of the Newcastle Law Society, Chris Hugill will make an address, followed by presentations of various prizes, awards and certificates to members of the North East’s legal community. Throughout the year, the Society carries out significant work for its approximately 800 solicitor members, the annual dinner is its flagship event which last year was attended by just under 250 people including barristers' chambers.
This year’s nominated charity supported by the event is Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre based at Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital. The Centre offers free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their families and friends.
As well as heading Trinity's Criminal and Regulatory barrister teams, Caroline is the current Chair of the Criminal Bar Association and a sitting Crown Court Recorder.
