Trinity's Estelle Chambers Secures Acquittal for Client Accused of Sexually Assaulting Housemate Over Four-Year Period

Trinity Criminal and Regulatory barrister, Estelle Chambers acted on behalf of a client charged with four counts of sexual assault spanning over a four-year period, during which he lived with the complainant in a shared property.

The trial involved a successful application to adduce the complainant's sexual history under section 41 of the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999.

Following the four day trial at Newcastle Crown Court, the jury unanimously acquitted Estelle's client.
