Trinity Criminal and Regulatory barrister, Estelle Chambers represented a 20-year-old man at Teesside Crown Court.
He faced a twelve count indictment involving serious allegations, including assault by penetration, false imprisonment, strangulation, threats involving a bladed article, controlling and coercive behaviour, and various other assaults.
Following the six-day trial, Estelle’s client was acquitted of all counts by the jury.
The case required detailed preparation, careful consideration of the evidence and robust cross examination. Estelle’s client now retains his good character following the acquittal.
