Trinity's Justin Gray Shortlisted for Legal 500 Bar Awards 2026

Trinity Chambers is delighted to announce that Justin Gray has been shortlisted as a finalist for Family Law Junior Barrister of the Year at the Legal 500 Bar Awards 2026.

This recognition reflects Justin’s exceptional ability and standing within family law. Already widely respected across the North East for his advocacy, legal knowledge and client care, his nomination also underlines the reputation he has built nationally as one of the leading juniors in his field.

A specialist in Children Law, Justin covers all aspects of public law proceedings, private law disputes including relocation and change of school cases, adoption, special guardianship, medical treatment and surrogacy. He has extensive experience in the international movement of children, the use of the inherent jurisdiction of the High Court, parental alienation, mental health, capacity, local authority obligations and deprivation of liberty.

Justin is particularly well known for his expertise in Anglo-Scottish cross-border issues concerning the placement in Scotland of children, including looked after children, and vulnerable adults. He regularly writes and speaks on this complex and rapidly evolving area of law.

His work continues to be recognised in the leading legal directories, with the Legal 500 2026 describing him as:

"...the sharpest barrister on circuit with a super brain on all matters relating to jurisdiction and a go-to for any children case with an international element. He is silk material and he is excellent at explaining incredibly complex jurisdictional issues in a way that is easily understandable."

Trinity’s members and staff warmly congratulate Justin on this well-deserved achievement and wish him every success at the awards ceremony.

The Legal 500 Bar Awards 2026 will take place on the evening of Tuesday 22 September 2026 at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London.
