Work commences on the refurbishment of new premises for Trinity Chambers in Middlesbrough. The staff and barristers at Trinity Chambers will continue to operate from the Multi Media Exchange (MME), 72-80 Corporation Road, Middlesbrough but will shortly be moving into upgraded premises within the building, one of its main attractions being its proximity to the Crown and Civil Courts.
The move has been necessitated by a number of established barristers and pupils joining Trinity in recent months as well as an increase in the volume of instructions in the Tees Valley region leading to more activity in Chambers. As part of the extensive refurbishment, the new facilities will include an upgraded IT platform, telephone system and conference rooms. The schedule of works is due to be completed by the end of February with a view to a seamless move in March.
Head of Trinity Chambers, Toby Hedworth Q.C. said of the decision to upgrade Trinity’s presence in Middlesbrough:-
“We have a strong client base in the Tees Valley and our position there has continued to go from strength to strength. Trinity remains committed to providing high quality service throughout the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire. This considerable investment despite the current economic climate is a clear demonstration of our shoring up our intentions and building on our 10 year presence in Middlesbrough. The provision of the new chambers benefiting our members, staff and above all, our clients, has been long overdue.”
In addition to its premises in Teesside, Trinity also operates from its Chambers at the historic Custom House on Newcastle’s Quayside also within close proximity of the Crown and Civil Courts.
