Troy Benjamin Becomes Full Tenant at Trinity Chambers

Troy Benjamin, a Bahamian born barrister based in the UK, has recently completed his transition to full tenancy at Trinity Chambers.

In 2008 Troy was called to both the Bar of England & Wales and the Bar of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. After completing his Post Graduate Diploma in Law at Guildford and Bar Vocational Course in London, Troy practised in several chambers in The Bahamas, worked as in house counsel for two of the largest resorts in the Caribbean and was in house counsel for a Bahamas based Canadian advisory investment firm. Troy has also served on various boards and been member of several civic organisations before returning to the UK as a practising barrister.

Troy is instructed in a wide range of Business & Property matters in fast/multi track cases, he also has appellate experience. In addition, Troy deals with Housing and Personal Injury instructions, as well as Employment law and International matters.

Commenting on his move to Trinity, Troy said:

‘Following the decision to come back to the UK to practice as a barrister and the move to Newcastle to tie in with my wife’s academic research project, Trinity Chambers was clearly the obvious first choice. I have been warmly welcomed by the members, staff and wider legal community which has meant that I have been able to quickly establish and build my practice.

In terms of the future, my family and I are thoroughly enjoying what the North East has to offer. Professionally, I am keen to continue to build relationships and develop my Civil practice. As an ambitious, forward-thinking Chambers, I am looking forward to contributing to a wide range of business development opportunities, including international work, across Trinity’s areas of expertise.’
