Barrister Henry Stevens Joins Trinity Chambers
Henry Stevens joins Trinity Barristers Chambers from Guildhall Chambers in Bristol. Henry, called in 2002, joins Trinity Chambers’Business, Chancery and Regulatory practice groups. His commercial practice has a strong Chancery cross over dealing with all areas of commercial dispute including sale of goods, contractual, shareholder, partnership, insolvency, construction and insurance disputes. Henry also deals with commercial and residential leases.
In addition, Henry deals with a wide range of real property matters including boundary disputes, easements, party walls and rights of way. He also advises in the enforcement of covenants. His practice encompasses mortgage possessions, subrogation claims and Trusts of Land Act matters.
In addition, Henry deals with regulatory matters and has particular experience of the Traffic Commissioners Tribunal and VOSA proceedings representing commercial clients. He has represented company directors charged with “Phoenix” and “Credit” offences under the Insolvency Act as well as contractors in environmental protection matters and prosecuting Houses in Multiple Occupation landlords under the Housing Act.
Before becoming a barrister Henry previously had a successful career in commercial archaeology, specialising in landscape archaeology. Whilst Henry is based at Trinity's chambers on Newcastle’s Quayside and in Middlesbrough, given the breadth of his client base he will be dealing with clients nationwide.
