High Court Success for Trinity Chancery Barrister

Trinity barrister, Simon Goldberg recently successfully represented the defendant in the High Court, Chancery Division matter of Brown v Stephenson [2013] EWHC 2531(Ch). The judgment was handed down by HHJ Behrens in the Chancery Division on 23rd August 2013. 

The defendant was being sued by his elderly ex-business partner who sought three transfers of land to be set aside following allegations of undue influence. The case involved examination and application of the principles of the leading House of Lords case on undue influence, RBS v Etridge [2002] 2 AC 773, relating to the transfers of land between friends and business partners.
