Trinity Barrister in Successful Beytula Murder Prosecution


Trinity Criminal and Regulatory barrister, David Comb together with Nick Dry of Northumbria Crown Prosecution Service have concluded the successful prosecution of Denis Beytula for the murder of his own three week old son, Andrei Stefan and attempted murder of his partner, Andreea Stefan in October at their home in Wallsend, Newcastle.

At a sentencing hearing at Newcastle Upon Tyne Crown Court held on 19th December, the Recorder of Newcastle, Judge Paul Sloan Q.C., sentenced Denis Beytula to life imprisonment, with a minimum mandatory term of 23 years before which parole will be considered.
