Trinity Trading Standards Article Published
Regulatory barrister at Trinity Chambers, Ros Scott Bell prepared a detailed analysis regarding the prosecution of a car dealership that she recently dealt with on behalf of a Local Authority. The article entitled “Dodgy dealers” has been published in the April 2012 edition of the monthly magazine of the Trading Standards Institute, “TS Today”.
Ros acted on behalf of North Tyneside Council’s Trading Standards team following nationwide complaints against the dealership which had been using online car sales websites. The case involved the successful application of the Enterprise Act and criminal proceedings resulting in a substantial successful costs order in favour of the Local Authority.
The feature was part of the Trading Standards Institute’s specialist “Auto” Issue.
Ros Scott Bell is a member of Trinity Chambers’ Regulatory Practice Group dealing with a wide range of Regulatory matters including trading standards, health and safety, licensing, environmental protection and professional discipline.
