Family Law

Specialising in all aspects of children work, including public law and private law work. Experienced in acting on behalf of the Local Authority, parents, extended family and interveners and the child at all levels of tribunal. Has acted on behalf of clients with difficulty in giving and receiving instructions.

Experienced in dealing with issues of finance, including applications in relation to child support.Acted on behalf of the alleged perpetrator in cases involving very serious injuries and sexual abuse.

Appeared in the Court of Appeal in public law case.

Appeared in the administrative court and Child Support Appeal Tribunal in relation to financial provision for children.

Housing Law

Experienced in acting on behalf of both tenants and the landlord in cases concerning possession and eviction, anti-social behaviour injunctions and orders and in cases concerning disrepair.

Acted in a number of cases for possession and injunctions based on allegations of anti-social behaviour, including drug dealing and violence.

Clinical Negligence

Experienced in acting in Coroner’s court on behalf of the family of the deceased and other interested parties.

Regularly appears in the County Court and has experience in the High Court in a case concerning very serious brain injuries to a child.

Successfully appealed nil award in CICA concerning sexual abuse of a child and involved in a case concerning unlawful killing.

Acted in coroner’s court in case involving death in mental health institution resulting in verdict of natural causes aggravated by want of care and also acted on behalf of employer in case involving injury at work.


Experienced in acting in claims including building disputes and commercial disputes involving breach of contract. Provides advice on liability and quantum and has experience in drafting pleadings for court and in drafting contracts.


Experienced in acting on behalf of the debtor and creditor in claims for debt enforcement and insolvency proceedings, both personal bankruptcy and corporate insolvency including winding up. Drafted documents for court including Statutory Demands and acted in cases concerning charging orders, possession orders and third party orders.

Mental Health

Interested in all areas of mental health law including appearances in tribunals and Court of Protection. Has received instructions on behalf of the patient, their family and the local authority.

Acted in Court of Protection on behalf of local authority in case concerning young adult patient who had suffered serious abuse at the hands of his parents in an application for a declaration as to capacity and placing the patient under the care and control of the local authority.

Acted in a number mental health review tribunals on behalf of both adult and child patients.
