Paul is a busy Crown Court advocate. In criminal cases, Paul receives both defence and prosecution instructions. Paul qualified as a solicitor in 1981 before transferring to the Bar in 1996. In 2010 Paul returned to working in a law firm, where he was the first barrister in the country to join a Multi-Disciplinary Practice.
Paul also has an interest in Coroners Inquests as well as regulatory prosecutions, including trading standards, environmental and health and safety matters.

Private law children
With a background in Crown Court advocacy and experience of dealing with expert evidence and vulnerable parties, Paul is instructed in public law child care proceedings, acting on behalf of parents, Guardians, grandparents and other family members.
Paul also accepts instructions in private law children cases, including issues surrounding residence, contact, injunctions and domestic violence.
