Richard O'Sullivan Joins Trinity Chambers as a Door Tenant

Chambers is delighted to welcome established Family Law barrister, Richard O'Sullivan as a Door Tenant.

Called in 2000, Richard specialises in Private and Public Law Children, Financial Remedy and also International Family Law.

Richard acts for local authorities, children, parents and relatives at all levels of the Family Court and in the Court of Appeal dealing with care and adoption proceedings, abduction proceedings, international relocation of children and wardship proceedings. He has a particular interest in cases involving head injuries to infants and special guardianship orders.

Instructions include applications for forced marriage protection orders, female genital mutilation, serious sexual assaults, allegations of trafficking and fabricated illness. Richard has frequently appeared in the National Deprivation of Liberty (DoLs) Court on behalf of local authorities from across the country.

In his international practice, Richard has appeared in the Supreme Court of St Helena on behalf of the Attorney General/Directorate of Social Services.
