Head of Trinity Barristers Chambers, Toby Hedworth Q.C., has been included in the recently published Journal’s Most Influential People in the North East 2012. The annual publication, produced in partnership with Newcastle University Business School, is now in its 5th Edition. The list, compiled following extensive research including consultation with a wide range of industry experts, aims to highlight individuals for their contribution to the North East and in particular those who can assist in driving the region’s economy in the difficult months and years ahead. 

Trinity’s sustained growth of over recent years despite the economic challenges is testament to the Head of Chambers’ inclusion in the list. Chambers have attracted many new barristers and employed several new members of staff over recent years and continues to go from strength to strength with more rankings than ever across a wide range of practice areas in the recently published Legal 500 and Chambers UK Directories. As well as acting for solicitors, public bodies, insurers and businesses locally many of the barristers practice outside the area reinforcing Trinity’s ability and scale to compete on a national level.

Extremely proud of his local heritage and connections, Toby Hedworth Q.C. spearheaded Trinity Chambers’ move to the historic Custom House on Newcastle’s Quayside in 2004, he was heavily involved in monitoring the renovations using local businesses and ensuring that the spectacular landmark was preserved as part of Newcastle’s iconic Quayside. He is also Vice Chairman of the Northumberland & Newcastle Society.

As well as being Head of Chambers and a Recorder, Toby Hedworth Q.C. is a member of Trinity’s CriminalRegulatory and Judicial Review Practice Groups.
